#VisibilityTip: Create An Editorial Calendar So You Know What You’re Posting Everyday

When I started my first blog in September 2004, I had no idea what I was doing. But then, most other people who started blogging around then didn’t know what they were doing, either. We were the trailblazers and often collaborated to learn and teach others as we figured out best practices.
18 years later, blogging as a content marketing tactic is still #1 for getting your site found and attracting prospects, leads, and clients. And, there are gobs of resources to help you master this crucial tactic.
Planning your editorial calendar and blog content is the BEST place to start so you don’t waste time wondering what to write about and how your content will support your business and promotions.
👉 If you’re a blogger, I’ve got you covered. I found a cool article on Medium with links to Google spreadsheets already formatted for your social media editorial calendar, including your blog posts (the author has a column for Medium articles — I’d change that to blog posts).
Simply pick the format you want and then copy it to your Google workspace account.
The author includes instructions for how you can update the columns for your own business.
The 12-month editorial calendar can be used to plan your blog themes and social media posts weekly, monthly, and annual. When the next year rolls around, simply copy the spreadsheet and start over again.
And if you get stuck figuring out what to write about, check out Karon Thackston’s Blog Post Templates. You can get one free here. They can help you unleash your creativity and write truly unique blog posts.
